Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, Kharrazi said: "Although Europe has some domestic problems to deal with, implementation of SPV, and observing its commitments in relation to Iran nuclear accord (JCPOA) is essential, but EU weakness and inability to counter the US is quite understandable."
Kharrazi insisted that EU's inability to meet its commitments doesn’t absolve it of its responsibilities in relation to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as Iran nuclear deal.
SPV is a financial mechanism being devised by European officials to enable trade and banking services with Iran to continue despite US sanctions.

Iran expects EU to fulfill their obligations after US exit from the multilateral international accord which is part of the UN Security Council resolution 2231, while IAEA verified Iran's commitment to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) for 13rd.
The IAEA report underlines that the Islamic Republic of Iran from early days of clinching the internationally recognized deal remained committed to its pledges with regard to the JCPOA.

Today Kharrazi in meeting with Germany based Bertelsmann Foundation's experts said, maintaining JCPOA is effective to the security of region and Europe.
"Europe is located in the neighborhood of West Asia, so that Europe’s security is directly linked to the security in our region, it should be kept in mind that maintaining JCPOA is effective for the security of region and Europe, in particular,” Seyyed Kamal Kharrazi told a delegation of experts from German think-tank, the Bertelsmann Foundation.

Seyed Kamal Kharrazi about Iran's response to US imposed sanctions said, “Islamic Republic of Iran has benefited from young and talented manpower with rich energy and mineral resources and can overcome economic problems related to sanctions with accurate management.”
Kharrazi emphasizing on the defensive strategy of Iran to the region added: "despite some different political viewpoints, Iran and Turkey have capacity to expands their ties and Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes cooperation with its neighboring country.”

Kharrazi added that Iran is trying to pave the way for the Intra-Syrian negotiations, amendment of the constitution, and holding free elections.
