Rouhani: Observing health protocols in Laylat al-Qadr ceremonies, source of Iran glory

Tehran(IP) - Appreciating the clergy and those in charge of mosques, husseiniyahs, and delegations, the president said on Friday: "It is an honor for the country to strictly observe the health instructions issued by the Iranian nation during the ceremony of Laylat al-Qadr"

Iran Press/Iran news: Hassan Rouhani said in a telephone conversation with Saeed Namaki, Minister of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, on Friday that from the very beginning, the wise people of Iran helped the medical staff in managing the disease, through observing the health protocols, as well as their concomitance and their contribution in holding Laylat al-Qadr ceremony, is considered as the turning point of such cooperation.

The President said that this amount of cooperation between the faithful and religious people together their observance of health protocols made the country's health officials more hopeful in the next stages of controlling and containing the COVID-19, appreciating the hard efforts of the organizers of Laylat al-Qadr ceremonies in observing the health protocols which put an end to all concerns about COVID-19.

The second night of mourning ceremony on Laylat al-Qadr was held on Thursday night in Holy Mashhad near Imam Reza's Holy Shrine in Khorasan Razavi, North-Eastern Iran.

The event was held to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (PBUH) the first Shi'a Imam.

This year, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, some 25 places have been considered as the proper places for performing on Laylat al-Qadr rituals where the morning ceremony is being held through observing the health protocols as well as social distancing.

The Holy Shrine of Imam Reza (PBUH) the 8th Shi'a Imam has been closed for the last two months due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
