Iran Press/ Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the recent reports about different versions of the coronavirus, Kianoush Jahanpour said: "There is a possibility of the mutation of the virus, which changes its behavior, and this is not a new subject in the biology of viruses."
He went on to say that the current coronavirus in Iran has no difference with reported case in China, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, or recent reports in Italy and the west of Europe.
"However, there are reports about the mutation of the virus which has led to the L and S types," he added.
"We have seen that in some cities and patients, the virus is more aggressive, and that could be related to these mutations," Jahanpour stressed.
