Iran's Judiciary spokesman says
Allegations against 'Amad News' operator is very large
Iran's Judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaeili said that the Judicial investigation case into allegations against the Telegram channel "Amad News" is very big.
Iran Press/Iran News: In his weekly news conference on Tuesday, Gholamhossein Esmaeili said, "The Judicial investigation file into allegations against the Telegram channel "Amad News" operated by Roohollah Zam is very large and we have already stated that we have obtained some good information about this case, Iran Press reported.
An unprecedented intelligence effort occurred both in the arrest of the main defendant and in gathering information about the case."
"We have a lot of information and the IRGC is reviewing the contents of this file," he added.
Esmaeili stated that the weblog and Telegram channel was full of fake news and lies while it was running. Determining the accuracy of the contents of the case requires careful and expert work that is currently underway.
In November the IRGC announced that Zam had been arrested during a complicated intelligence operation.
Zam launched Amad News in 2015. The channel frequently posted fake news stories and called for violence with the aim of overthrowing the Islamic Republic system.
During the protest rallies in December 2018, he urged the people to take arms against the government.
In its statement, the IRGC said it lured Zam into Iran using “clever, multidimensional and innovative tricks”, which even deceived foreign intelligence agencies.
The IRGC also said the French intelligence service was behind Zam’s activities, which were also backed by the U.S. and the Zionist regime’s spy services.205/204
