Rouhani said referring to recent protest: Iranians foil enemies’ plots

President Hassan Rouhani, referring to recent fuel protest in Iran, said that the nation emerged successfully from the test and foiled the enemies’ plots.

Iran Press/Iran news: The Iranian nation gloriously passed thorough another historic test, demonstrating that despite economic problems and grievance about the management, they will never allow the enemies to succeed in their plots, the Iranian president said, speaking at a cabinet session on Wednesday according to Iran Press.

The president noted that Iranian people are well aware that the main goal of a hike in gas price is the country's self-sufficiency in energy supply so that we do not need to depend on the other states and be able to properly operate and consume the required energy by domestic production. Also implement a fair amount of justice in society, namely, the people in need use the fuel subsidies more than the rich ones.

The high ranking official stressed that people at these events indicated that they are very well aware of the planning for riots and plots of the enemy and foreign intelligence services and will be not deceived.

He underlined that despite the pressure of enemies in 2018 and 2019, people showed that they are sensitive to the interests, national security, and integrity and it turned out the enemies of the Iranian nation in these two past years of massive planning have so limited mercenaries. Evil people were employed and they inflicted extensive damage on the lives of the people and even to children and adolescents. This suggests that this small number of perpetrators were acting against the country and against the homeland and national interests. 101
