The top Commander of the Iranian Navy Rear Admiral, Hossein Khanzadi, has said Iran has high defensive capabilities in the region and builds its own hi-tech submarines, destroyers, and rocket launchers.

Iran Press/Iran news: On the sidelines of the fourth deep-diving courses of world armies' inauguration ceremony on Kish island, southern Iran, on Sunday, Rear Admiral Khanzadi pointed to the construction of Ghadir, Fateh, and Tareq submarines, adding: "These submarines are equipped with the most advanced defence and military equipment".

Rear Admiral Khanzadi cited the design and construction of a new type of Hovercraft as another achievement by Iranian experts and said that the new Hovercraft would join the Islamic Republic of Iran Navy fleet on November 28, 2019.

"In the years following the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Navy has made significant gains relying on the expertise of local specialists even under sanctions", he reiterated.

The fourth round of depth international competitions is held in the framework of the international military diving competitions.

International military competitions are being held simultaneously in Iran, Russia, China, Mongolia, India, Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in 32 fields and with the participation of 30 countries. 207/218
