Iran-Spain boosting environmental cooperation

Iranian and Spanish officials discussed ways to expand environmental cooperation between the two countries.

Iran Press/Europe: During a meeting with Undersecretary for Ecological Transformation in the Spanish Ministry of Environment Hugo Moran Fernandez, Iran's Deputy head of the Department of Environment Masoud Tajrishi discussed ways to expand environmental cooperation between the two countries.

According to Iran Press, Tajrishi further explained the plans and actions of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the field of environmental protection, including policies relating to curbing and optimizing energy consumption and improving the efficiency and productivity of industrial plants, adding that "America's sanctions impede Iran's access to green technologies."

Welcoming Iran's environmental plans, Hugo Moran Fernandez also said the public and private sectors in Spain were ready to cooperate with Iran. 

Iran's ambassador to Spain Hassan Ghashghavi also attended the meeting.
