Iran Press/ Iran News: In an interview with IranPress in Tabriz, Massoud Pezeshkian stated that the main concern about eliminating the preferential exchange rate is how to manage it, and if it is not managed correctly, many problems will be created.
"Governments pay subsidies for electricity, water, gas, etc., but most of these subsidies go to the rich, and residents of rural areas and suburbs in cities do not benefit from these subsidies," Pezeshkian added.
The MP stated that the money allocated to some people (rentiers) in the name of subsidies and the preferential exchange rate was misused, and now those who pay the price are the citizens.
