Tehran(IP)- The Minister of Economy announced that Iran’s central bank will use all capacities to replace BRICS with SWIFT.

Iran PressIran news:  Seyyed Ehsan Khandozi, Minister of Economy, in a press conference on Tuesday and in response to the question of Iran Press, added: Considering the membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in BRICS, the government will use all the capacities to make Iran's economy immune to sanctions.

Khandozi stated: The government, the central bank, and BRICS member countries also seek to replace BRICS with Swift, and preparations are going on.

Referring to the transfer of Iran's foreign exchange resources from South Korea, Khandozi said: "Several countries were involved in the process, although it was a time-consuming and difficult issue, which was achieved with the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Central Bank."

Khandozi emphasized that the pursuit to back other Iran’s assets is still ongoing.

Pointing out that one of the short-term factors affecting inflation is the control of the foreign currency market, he added: the ability to transfer Iran’s funds to the country helps to manage the country's currency market, and the fluctuations of recent days are under the control of the Central Bank.

In another part of the press conference, the Minister of Economy, referring to the annual meeting of the World Bank, noted: "I will travel to Morocco this weekend to attend the meeting."

Khandozi said: The policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding FATF has not changed. It is expected that FATF will take a technical position and avoid any political approach.

He went on to say that according to the statistics of the Central Bank, the economic growth rate of the first quarter of the year excluding the oil sector is 5.7% and including it is 6.3%. it shows that 7.9% economic growth was recorded for the spring, which is 6.1% without the oil sector.

The economic spokesperson of the government added: "None of the official authorities have yet presented the economic growth rate for the summer, but the reports prepared from monitoring the activities of large companies show that we can expect good news about the economic growth rate of Iran in the summer."
