Iran Press/West Asia: A credible local source discloses that a drone attack targeted the landing site of Turkish helicopters at a base near the Iraqi border.
The aforementioned source further stated, "The drone aimed at the Turkish helicopter landing area at a base near the Iraqi border, marking the first such incident. Turkish defense forces successfully intercepted and downed the drone."
The source added, "The attack was the first of its kind and represents an increase in the use of drones to directly attack Turkish forces."
It is reported that Ankara has begun deploying anti-drone systems in its bases in northern Iraq.
It should be noted that Turkish forces are stationed in dozens of bases and military areas in northern Iraq, especially in the country's Kurdistan Region.
