Iran PressIran news: Shahriar Heydari, a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament, on Tuesday, on the sidelines of the open session of the Parliament and in an exclusive interview with Iran Press regarding the developments in Iraq, said: Following the Iraqi elections last year, various groups and parties announced their preparations, but Generally, those who present a list are the winners.

Heydari added: After the elections and after the formation of the parliament, the next power, which is the president, prime minister, and ministers, should be formed, and for this reason, the Iraqi parliament determines the power and government in Iraq and plays an important role in this regard.

He added that due to the lack of formation of the parliament, the prime minister and the president were not elected.

Heydari said that with the announcement of Muqtada al-Sadr's resignation from power, his supporters showed up in Baghdad's green zone in such a way that the Iraqi government had entered a new stage in terms of security and politics.

He emphasized: This situation is not in the interest of the Iraqi nation, and since America has always sought tension and conflict in the region in order to achieve its goals, it welcomes any unrest in the region.
