Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance reported a dram to be released soon, coproduced by Iran and Türkiye.

Iran PressIran news: Mohammad Mahdi Esmaili told reporters in a press conference on Saturday that good cooperation is underway between Iran and Türkiye in culture, cinema, and media. With regard to cinema, the two countries enjoy a common cultural and civilizational ground, including poetry and literature.

He addressed the domestic capability of Iran and reported the growth of cinema due to the participation of the private sector. 

"We sought to normalize the activities in culture and art areas, and with the help of people and art practitioners, we entered a period of prosperity; today art and media are experiencing a prosperous period," he said.

The minister also reported the construction of an art city in Parad town, around Tehran. 3

International section of Fajr Film Festival

Referring to the International section of the Fajr Festival, the minister of culture Mohammad Mahdi Esmailisaid told Iran Press: The international section of the Fajr Film Festival has been well received and so far, 630 films from different countries have been sent to the secretariat and we are currently reviewing the works.

Previously, we had more than 7,200 works from 131 countries in the short film festival.

Founded in 1982, the Fajr International Film Festival (FIFF) is Iran’s largest annual film festival held in Tehran. It is an event that celebrates cultural exchange, displays the creative achievements of highly acclaimed cineastes, and pays tribute to quality local and international films.

Since its establishment, the Fajr International Film Festival has played a vital role in the development of Iranian Cinema. Every year, veteran directors and new filmmakers devotedly present their works at the festival.
