Following the recent intensification of terrorist group's activities in Syria, Cuba's Foreign Minister announced Havana's solidarity with the people and government of Syria.

Iran Press/America: Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, in a message on his page on the X social network, while announcing Havana's support for Syria, called for respect for the country's national sovereignty, stability, and territorial integrity. Terrorist groups in northern and northwestern Syria attacked Syrian army positions on the western outskirts of Aleppo on Wednesday morning, November 27.

The Syrian army has also targeted areas occupied by terrorists in the country in the past few days. The Syrian Armed Forces Command announced in a statement on Sunday that the process of countering terrorist attacks continues successfully and decisively, and that attacks will soon be carried out to restore all areas and rid them of terrorism.

The Syrian army command reported on November 28 that units of the Jabhat al-Nusra extremist group (outlawed in Russia) had staged a large-scale attack on Syria’s northern governorates the day prior. The terrorists attempted to seize several neighborhoods and military facilities and attacked the positions of government forces. The Syrian army launched an operation to repel the attack.
