Milan (IP) - Ashura procession was held in Milan, Italy, with a significant turnout of Shiites and Muslims of various nationalities.

Iran PressEurope: Followers of Ahl Al-Bayt (A.S) at the Ashura procession in Milan on Saturday evening mourned in various languages, including Italian, Pakistani, Dari, Pashto, and Persian, according to Iran Press. 

The mourners of Hussain (A.S.) expressed their condemnation of the desecration of the Holy Quran, insults to Muslim holy sites, and sanctities in certain European countries.

They held banners and emphasized that these acts were against humanity.

A magnificent Ashura mourning ceremony was held in the presence of Shiites and Muslims of different nationalities last Friday at the Shia center in Italy-Imam Mahdi (A.J) Islamic Association.  

Imam Hussain (A.S.) and his loyal companions made a great sacrifice in the battle of Karbala on the 10th of Muharram month, known as Ashura.

In certain countries, the procession and mourning of Imam Hussain (A.S.) was observed on Saturday, which marked the 10th of the Muharram month.
