Niamey (IP) - After the coup in Niger, people from different walks of life are emphasizing the withdrawal of French and American troops with demonstrations and gatherings.

Iran PressAfrica: According to Iran Press News Agency, in continuation of protests and gatherings after the formation of the coup in Niger, students came to the streets of Niamey on Friday evening and chanted slogans against France and the US.

The students of Abdou Moumouni University in Niamey, after the demonstration in the campus of this university, gathered and emphasized maintaining the territorial integrity, peace and security of Niger.

The protestors also stressed the withdrawal of occupying forces, especially the French, from Niger and condemned the sanctions against this country.

Meanwhile, after the end of the seven-day deadline given by West African countries to the coup plotters to return democracy to Niger, young people came to the streets of Niamey, the capital of Niger, and gathered to protest.

Nigerian youths condemned any possible military intervention in their country and emphasized that they are ready to defend Niger.

The Community of West African States (ECOWAS) last week in an emergency meeting in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, gave the coup plotters in Niger a week to hand over power so that democracy can be restored in the country.
