Top cleric:

IRAN (IP)- The Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought named the three western projects against the Islamic world as Islamophobia, Shiaization, and Iranization, and emphasized the need to confront the plans of the West.

Iran Press/Iran news: Hamid Shahriari, Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, on Thursday night, in a television interview with the IRIB, congratulated the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) and Imam Jafar Sadiq (as) birthday anniversary, saying: "The Prophet of Islam (PBUH) was a model for the whole world with his behavior and character, and this blessed prophet has given us a way to find happiness and meaning in human life."

The senior cleric pointed out that Imam Khomeini called this week the Week of Unity: "Since then, this week has been called the week of unity and honored by the followers of all Islamic sects, including Shia, Sunni, and others."

Regarding the importance of the Islamic Unity Conference, Dr. Shahriari said: "The importance of this conference goes back to the concept of unity. Unity means that we prevent many sufferings of the Islamic world, especially division and conflict in the Islamic world."

He pointed to the theme of the 36th Islamic Unity Conference and noted: "The theme of this year's conference is "Islamic Unity, Peace, and Avoidance of Division and Conflict in the Islamic World," which this year focuses more on implementation of strategies and operational measures to prevent war, assassination, and ex-communication and insulting the sanctities of religions that the Islamic world is facing has been."

Shahriari added: "Imam Khomeini has a concept called "Union of Muslims" in his interpretations, which is considered an ideal idea and model for all of us to be able to form a union of Islamic countries with the help of all Islamic countries and with a law beyond the basic and classic laws that all Islamic countries accept by preserving their constitution to establish a parliament as the Parliament of Islamic countries and pass common laws in it so that we can move towards a new Islamic civilization."

Dr. Shahriari stated: "Our distance from this great ideal goes back to two fundamental problems: First, the global arrogance led by the US and supported by the Zionist lobby and the predatory West has made a double effort to divide the Eastern world into pieces during the last two centuries. Like the Indian subcontinent, which has become India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Kashmir. Or that ISIS was trying to divide Iraq into three countries: Kurds, Sunnis, and Shias."

The senior cleric went on to say: "The project of disintegration is still ongoing and arrogance has continued to follow it in the last 200 years and has had many successes, and every region they have left, they have left ethnic and religious differences so that later they can use it for their own interests."

The official considered the second problem to achieve unity as liberal thinking and promoting secular culture and cultural ignorance and said: "Arrogance pursues this project in all Islamic countries to disintegrate them from within."

Shahriari has highlighted that the enemies are trying to deprive the youth of their cultural and national identity and promote the western lifestyle with new tools such as social networks. "As in our country, they are trying to take the Iranian and Islamic identity from our youth and turn them into an element whose heart and soul is in the hands of the West, so that they can achieve their goals and create a social divide."

The Secretary General of the World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought emphasized: "The predatory West is leveling three accusation projects to the Islamic world; the first is Islamophobia, which tries to introduce the religion of Islam as a religion of violence, and this project reached its highest peak in the creation of ISIS. ISIS was a false mask on the face of Islam to show Islam as a religion of violence, while the religion of Islam is a religion of mercy and the Prophet is also a prophet of mercy."

The top cleric named the second project as Shiaization and said: "After Iran's success in the war with Saddam and Iraq's desire towards Iran's Islamic revolution, this tendency was also created in Pakistan and Afghanistan, but because it was supported by Iran, they accused that the country is seeking to promote Shiism so that they can create division between Shias and Sunnis. While the Shiism project does not exist at all in the strategy of the Islamic Republic."

Shahriari referred to the third project as Iranization leveled by global arrogance to make our neighbors afraid of Iran. "While the main project is that they themselves want to take over the property and assets of these countries. The West pursues these three accusations in order to destroy the unity of Muslims, so we must be very careful in our interaction with the West and show that there is no Shiaization of Sunnis and Iran does not claim to take over other countries."

Regarding Imam Khomeini's emphasis on the keyword "Ummat," Dr. Shahriari made the remarks: "The view of Imam Khomeini and the position of Supreme Leader is a global and macro perspective, which is taken from Quranic literature. The word "one nation" is repeated more than 10 times in the Qur'an, which shows that it is very important in the Qur'anic literature and Islamic systematization."

He added: "The central requirement of the Ummah is to see the Islamic world as a whole. Not in the sense of uniting the countries. Rather, it means that the Muslim nation is a single nation that must prevent conflicts and support each other and find common solutions for their common pains."

Shahriari stated: "Because the Imam's view was a global view, Ummah-oriented literature was produced over 40 years, and today everyone is proud that one of the biggest proponents of this thinking is the Islamic Republic of Iran."

He emphasized: "The first thing we have to do is to prevent war and conflicts, the second thing is to counter the enemy's plans. Today's enemy is looking for blasphemy, terror, conflict and conflict, insulting the holy things, and we have to deal with these plans."
