Baghdad (IP) – Three ISIS elements had been killed in an airstrike by the Iraqi air force in Saladin Province, local Iraqi sources reported on Sunday.

Iran PressMiddle East: local Iraqi sources reported that a strong explosion sound was heard in the vicinity of Hod Al-Tharthar Road towards Al-Hawli Road in Saladin Province, north of Baghdad.

The explosion resulted from the bombing of a hostel for ISIS elements. Preliminary reports indicate that three ISIS terrorists were killed in the attack. 

The attack was launched by Iraqi caravan planes, according to the source.

Iraqi security forces continue to search and chase the ISIL remnants throughout the country to ensure that ISIS and its fugitive elements do not reappear.

In December 2017, after nearly three and a half years of fighting with the ISIS terrorist group, which occupied about a third of Iraq, the Iraqi government announced the liberation of all its territories from the hands of ISIS.
