Deputy foreign minister for economic diplomacy stressed Iran’s serious will for reaching a good agreement in Vienna nuclear negotiations.

Iran PressEurope: Mehdi Safari made the remark on Wednesday in a meeting with his Austrian counterpart Peter Launsky-Tieffenthal in Vienna.

Safari stated that Tehran favored expanding comprehensive commercial and economic ties with Vienna.

He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran is quite serious in its will to achieve a good agreement in Vienna negotiations, adding that the Iran-Austria comprehensive economic and commercial ties, too, need to expand based on bilateral agreements.

For his part, Launsky-Tieffenthal stressed that his country fully supports the ongoing nuclear talks in Vienna, expressing hope that the negotiations will soon lead to an agreement for all involved sides.

“We, too, wish to expand economic and commercial ties with Iran,” he added.

The eighth round of sanctions talks began in Vienna on December 27 and has resumed in Vienna on February 8, 2022, after a short break to consult delegations in their capitals.
