Gorgan (IP) - The vice president and head of Iran's Foundation of Martyrs and Veterans Affairs said that the effects of Martyr Soleimani's actions in various fields, including military, cultural and political, were profound.

Iran PressIran news: In an interview with Iran Press, Amir-Hossein Ghazizadeh-Hashemi said: "General Qasem Soleimani, was not just a military general, and his character was praiseworthy and influential in all matters."

Referring to Martyr Soleimani's admirable actions in essential events and helping people in different parts of Iran, Ghazizadeh-Hashemi said that Martyr Soleimani in Iraq could also defeat the United States.

He made the remarks on the second martyrdom anniversary of General Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) deputy head Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis.

The top anti-terror commanders were assassinated along with their companions in a US drone strike authorized by former President Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on January 3, 2020.

Two days after the US assassination operation, Iraqi lawmakers approved a bill demanding the withdrawal of all foreign military forces led by Washington.
