Ma'rib (IP) – Latest footage of fighting between Yemeni forces and Saudi-affiliated militias on the Ma'rib front shows the advancement of Yemeni troops and heavy damage to the Saudi coalition.

Iran PressMiddle East: Yemeni forces have achieved some success in recent days in the Southern Province of Ma'rib and are advancing in the Al-Juba region. They have taken control of a mountainous area in the Al-Juba region after Saudi-affiliated troops fled. 

Yemeni sources say more than 140 members of the Saudi-led coalition were killed and wounded as Yemeni forces advanced into the center and south of the Al-Juba region.

The sources also reported that the Yemeni forces had captured dozens of Saudi coalition troops and more than 40 military vehicles during the clashes.

With the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, Saudi Arabia has been invading and besieging Yemen since March 2015.

The outbreak of war by Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has killed tens of thousands and has made millions of Yemenis homeless.
