30th shipment of COVID-19 vaccine purchased by RCS enters Iran

Tehran (IP) – Head of Iran's Red Crescent Society said that the 30th consignment of COVID-19 vaccine purchased by the organization entered Iran.

Iran PressIran News: Karim Hemmati stated that the consignment was delivered to the officials of the Health Ministry at Imam Khomeini Airport on Sunday.

According to Hemmati, the consignment contains 6 million doses of the COVID vaccine.

He pointed out that Iran's Red Crescent Society has imported 94,390,000 doses of COVID vaccine during the past seven months, including seven consignments of 6 million doses of Sinopharm COVID vaccine since September 26.

So far, 50,373,488 people have received the first dose of the COVID vaccine, 28,291,777 have received the second dose, and the total number of vaccines injected in the country reached 78,665,265 doses.

Iran's Health Ministry announced on Saturday that 124 death cases due to COVID-19 had been registered during the past 24 hours, bringing the total death toll to 125,052.
