Tehran (IP) – Secretary-general of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine (PIJ) called Islamic unity a key factor in preserving Palestine and Islamic sanctities, including the Holy Quds.

Iran PressIran News: In an interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the 35th Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran, Ziyad al-Nakhalah referred to the normalization of relations between some Arab regimes and the Zionist regime and said: "It is declaring war on Palestine, Arab and Islamic nations."

He pointed out that alliance with the Zionist regime and helping such a coalition is a confrontation with Islam and Muslims; hence, holding Islamic conferences is a reaction to cooperation with the Zionist plan and the normalization of relations under various titles.

He highlighted that the efforts to normalize relations with the Zionist regime are an attempt to divert Islam from its original purpose.

"Today we show that Islamic unity is the security for the Islamic Ummah and Palestine and the preservation of al-Quds," al-Nakhalah said.

The World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought (WFPIST) has been established by the order of the Leader of the Revolution since 1990. So far, 34 sessions of the Unity Conference have been held.
