Iran Press/ Iran news: There are small and large palm groves in Farashband, and the main type of date harvest from this area is "Zahedi dates" with excellent quality for export.
Harvesting Zahedi dates from 3,500 hectares of palm groves in Farashband city has started from the end of September and will continue for about two months.
The average annual production of dates from Farashband palm groves is 8 tons per hectare, which is one of the important production centers in Fars Province.
Dates produced in Farashband are of the "Zahedi" and "Kabkab" type, which in addition to meeting domestic needs, are also exported to the countries bordering the Persian Gulf.
