"Iran considers to be the pioneer in quantum communication not only among Islamic countries but also among developed countries. we have very good position in this field and I think it will open a new chapter for Iranian high tech in different fields.", Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Behrouz Kamalvandi said in an exclusive interview with Iran Press International news agency on the sideline of the unveiling ceremony of Iran’s new technology in secure quantum communications on Wednesday.
"What you have already witness today is a very important breakthrough in high technology. Iran had been able to experience in laboratory level the quantum entanglements. It is a very big step, it is of course a technology which going to give impetus to different technologies such as computation, bio technology, communication and many other fields", Deputy Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran noted
"Of course today we are in laboratory level but it means that we have already passed through a very crucial step and prepare the way for eventually going into industrial level", Kamalvandi concluded.
The unveiling ceremony of the first laboratory for quantum entanglement was held on Wednesday in the Karaj-based INCL with head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Aliakbar Salehi, Minister of Science Manour Gholami and Vice-President for Science and Technology Sorena Sattari in attendance.
