Mashhad (IP)- Radkan Historical Tower is the work of the great Iranian mathematician, astronomer and scientist, Khajeh Nasir al-Din al-Tusi.

Iran Press/Iran News: Radkan Tower was built in the 7th century, 660 AH, at the same time as the completion of the Maragheh Observatory. 

Radkan Historical Tower is the only tower that can contribute to the recognition of the four seasons as well as the beginning of Nowruz (Iranian New Year) known as the spring equinox, autumn equinox and leap year. 

Khajeh Nasir al-Din al-Tusi has calculated the distance from the earth to the moon utilising Radkan Tower and Akhangan Rod in Razavi Khorasan Province.
