Iranian photographer wins best photo award at Plovdiv Photo Festival

Bulgaria (IP) - Iranian photographer Mir Ali Parandak won the Best nature Photo award at the Plovdiv Photo Festival in Bulgaria.

Iran PressEurope: The festival was held in nature photography, free monochrome, free color, photojournalism, portrait, and urban photography sponsored by the Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique, or FIAP.

The photographer has participated in Germany, Indonesia, South Africa, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Croatia, and won the gold medal at the Kөl Fest - Kyrgyzstan.

'Fédération Internationale de l'Art Photographique', or FIAP (Eng. The International Federation of Photographic Art), is an international organization of national associations of photography. More than 85 national associations are members, comprising nearly one million individual photographers.

FIAP was founded by M. Van de Wijer of Belgium in 1946. The first members were the photographic associations from Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland. In 1947, Denmark, Finland, and Hungary joined.

It is the only international institute in photography registered by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

As an executive member, the federation works closely with national photography institutes around the world, numbering more than 90 national institutes on five continents, and is currently the only official representative of FIAP in Iran Focus Photo Club.

For the time being, Focus Photo Club is the only representative of FIAP in Iran.
