Iran Press/ Iran news: Es’haq Jahangiri, the vice president for President Rouhani administration, attending the Election Headquarter of Interior Ministery, officially registered for the 13th Presidential Election.
Jahangiri, for both terms of President Rouhani, holds the Vice Presidency and in the 12th Presidential he also ran for president as a candidate for Reformist but not against President Rouhani. However, stepped aside for him in the end.
The registration process will come to an end at 18:00 local time later in the day.
Once volunteers have registered, they will be subject to vetting by Iran’s Constitutional Council, a process that will take another five days.
Iran’s 13th presidential election will be held on June 18.
