IRGC Chief Commander:

Tehran (IP) - The Chief Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards corps considered the unity between the Islamic army of Iran and the IRGC as the key to foil enemies' vicious dreams.

Iran Press/Iran News: Major General Hossein Salami on Friday congratulated Major General Abdul Rahim Mousavi, Chief Commander of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran, on the April 18 occasion, the Army Day, considering it a revolution and a school for the Iranian system and nation and emphasized: "The unity of the army and the IRGC has nullified the aspirations of the enemy."

Major General Salami added: "The recent 43-year history of the country is reminiscent of glorious arenas and moments, on the forehead of which the blessed name of the dear army and the epic roles of the devoted and warlike armies shines, and in its sphere, a decisive confrontation with the anti-revolutionary and the arrogant mercenaries of the world, along with other forces defending the revolution in Kurdestan and then Saddam's eight-year global war against the Islamic Revolution and the Iranian nation, are distinctive and meaningful, especially for the vicious and sworn enemies of this land."

The top general stated that independence and national interests and territorial integrity of the country and confronting foreign threats and aggression manifested its sincerity in the slogan "Army to be Sacrificed for the Nation".

With the historical and life-giving message of Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran in 1979, the Iranian army was reborn and April 18 was named the Army Day of the Islamic Republic in the history of Iran.
