Iran Press/Iran News: In a meeting with the Syrian envoy to Tehran Shafiq Dayoub on Thursday, Hossein Amirabdollahian said that by imposing economic sanctions, the United States was waging a terrorist war against Syria through economic terrorism.
He pointed to the interventionist policies of the US and said: "Iran has negotiated with Democrats and Republicans, but the White House rulers are just changing their masks and openly breaking covenants and betraying."
"Today, the United States once again is speaking of direct negotiations with Iran, but there is only one way, and that is a practical step to remove all the sanctions," he stressed.
The Syrian ambassador to Tehran, for his part, pointed to the Iran-China strategic partnership document and called it a great achievement that changed the balance of power.
Shafiq Dayoub appreciated Iran's support for the Syrian nation and emphasized: " The support of Iran's government, nation, and Leader of the Islamic Revolution will remain in the historical memory of the Syrian people forever, and we are proud of it."
