Iran's judiciary chief: Trust in US wrong

Iraq (IP) - Iran's Judiciary Chief Ebrahim Raisi said the history indicated that trust in the US is wrong, and the US is the leading cause for instability in the region.

Iran PressMiddle East: Ebrahim Raisi said the preservation of the security, prosperity, and peace of Iraq's Kurdistan Region was of particular importance for Iran and described the US presence in the region as a violator of the region's peace and security.

Raisi made the remarks in his Thursday meeting with the Special Envoy of the Head of the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party, Hoshyar Zebari. 

He stressed that Iraq's Kurdistan has a rich history, civilization, literature, and customs and that the Western culture and lifestyle should not be allowed to dominate such a culture and traditions.

For his part, Hoshyar Zebari referred to the fight against ISIS terrorists, saying that the Kurdistan Region never forget the efforts of the Islamic Republic of Iran to confront and eradicate ISIS in the region.  

The Special Envoy of the Iraqi Kurdistan Democratic Party leader also announced his readiness to implement the extradition law between the Iraqi Kurdistan Region and Iran.
