Iran Press/ Asia: Speaking in a meeting at Iran's Ministry of Road and Urban Development, Shahin Mustafayev added that Iran-Azerbaijan trade has increased by 18% in the north-south corridor.
Shahin Mustafaev went on to say that a delegation from Azerbaijan came to Tehran to attend Iran-Azerbaijan 14th conference.
He added that the countries have a deep relation and cooperation due to commonalities in history, culture, and religion.
The official noted that the two countries' will also play an important role in increasing cooperation between countries.
Several projects have been discussed, mainly making a car passing bridge, hoping that it will be signed soon. The inauguration ceremony is held in Astara, Mustafayev noted.
Referring to the region's latest movements, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan pointed to the 44-day war in Nagorno-Karabakh, saying that Azerbaijani people, government, and the army could resist and prove their territorial integrity to the world with Iran’s support, he highlighted.
Azerbaijan’s priority is rebuilding destroyed lands in wars by the cooperation of Iranian companies, hoping that Iran helps and opens a new way for increasing Iran-Azerbaijan cooperation more than before, Azerbaijani official concluded.
Heading a delegation, Mustafayev met Iran’s Minister of Road and Urban Development Mohammad Eslami on Monday afternoon and discussed how to improve bilateral projects and trade cooperation between the two countries.
