Iran Press/Middle East: The victim was a prominent figure in the Al-Aqeedat tribe, who was killed along with his son in an attack by gunmen on their home in the village of Hawaij Zyban on the eastern outskirts of Deir Ez-Zor, which is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
According to al-Mayadin, another person was injured in the attack.
The victim was a supporter of the Syrian government and opposed to all forms of occupation in Syria.
