Russian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna stressed the need for wise diplomacy on Iran in order to reduce tensions in the region.

Iran Press/Europe: Russian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov, tweeted on Saturday that reducing tensions in the region could only be achieved through wise diplomacy with Iran, which should replace the tools of economic pressure that has failed completely.

Ulyanov tweeted in response to a tweet from Andrea Striker, a member of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

"If Obama contends sanctions pressure was necessary to produce the nuclear deal, how could Biden ever negotiate far more restrictions on Iran with far less economic leverage?” Striker stated in a tweet, calling it a flawed strategic logic.

Russia's permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna has previously said that for the first time in recent years, there is an opportunity for the JCPOA to return to normal situation.
