Tougher slaps awaits Lt. Gen. Soleimani's assassinators: Ex-diplomat

Tehran (IP) - The head of Iran's Foreign Relations Strategic Council stressed the expulsion of the US troops from the region as a definite goal and said tougher slaps awaited Lt. Gen. Soleimani's assassinators.

Iran PressIran news: Pointing to General Soleimani's charismatic character and his martyrdom's influence on people, Kamal Kharrazi said the elegant funeral procession of the Martyr Soleimani showed that it was itself a tough response to the US President Donald Trump's crime.

Lt. General Qasem Soleimani, Iraqi Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and a number of their companions were assassinated in an airstrike by US forces near the airport in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, on the morning of Friday, January 3, 2020.

As about the US recent military moves in the region and its possible act against Iran's interests by the Israeli regime's provocation, Kharrazi said that the moves were rather a psychologic war and, in fact, these were the US and Israeli regimes that were worried about Iran's response.

"If the Americans violate, they will naturally receive a serious response," Kharrazi said.
