Iran's Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, in a message to the people after the farewell to the martyred Leader, pledged to preserve his legacy and continue the path he outlined with steadfastness and faith.
The message opened with a tribute to Imam Hussain (AS), describing his uprising as a life-giving movement that echoed the prophetic mission and inspired Iran’s Islamic Revolution, which it said was founded upon the ideals of Ashura.
The Leader said that when those who follow Imam Hussain’s path are martyred while defending his cause, “the Islamic Ummah rises,” adding that such sacrifices connect the present to the spirit of Ashura and Karbala.
Addressing the martyred Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the message pledged to preserve his legacy, to continue the path he charted with steadfastness, to remain firm in the face of hardship, and to place trust in God’s promises.
The message also vowed to seek retribution for the unjust shedding of his blood and that of all those martyred in the two wars, saying those responsible would be held accountable.
