Why it matters:
As disapproval reaches record highs, especially among Democrats and younger voters, U.S. foreign policy may face increasing pressure to change course. The growing perception of Israel’s actions as disproportionate or even genocidal could reshape diplomatic priorities and aid decisions.
The big picture:
A Quinnipiac University survey found that 60 percent of voters disapprove of the U.S. sending military aid to Israel, while 32 percent support additional aid, the highest level of opposition and lowest level of support for the U.S. military alliance with the Israeli regime in a Quinnipiac poll since the October 7, 2023, Politico website reported.
