Pakistan has condemned the US attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities, which were carried out after a series of Israeli attacks.

In a statement issued by the Foreign Office on Sunday, Pakistan reiterated that the attacks are a violation of all principles of international law, and Iran has the full right to self-defense under the UN Charter.

Pakistan announced that the unprecedented increase in tension and violence as a result of the ongoing aggression against Iran is very worrying; if the tension increases further, its effects will be very serious in the region and beyond.

Pakistan stressed the need to respect civilian lives and property and immediately end this conflict. The statement has called on all parties to fully comply with international law, especially international humanitarian law.

The only viable solution to the regional crisis is through dialogue and diplomacy in accordance with the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter, Pakistan noted.
