KERMANSHAH (IP) — President Masoud Pezeshkian fired back at U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday, dismissing his recent criticism of Iran’s internal challenges and vowing to resolve national problems with the help of the Iranian people.

Why it matters:

Pezeshkian has made a strong response to foreign pressure, particularly from Washington.

What he’s saying:

President Masoud Pezeshkian: “Trump can dream on if he thinks he can point out our shortcomings. With the capable people we have, we will solve all problems.”

“He threatens and pretends to care about human rights—while their hands are stained with the blood of 60,000 martyrs in Gaza.”

“Who else had the audacity to kill 60,000 people in Gaza and block their access to food and medicine? Yet they speak of human rights.”

The president emphasized his administration’s push for renewable energy—targeting 30,000 megawatts of solar power—and noted that ministries will begin installing solar panels within a month.

He also promised rapid resolution of nationwide power outages and more wind power generation in South Khorasan.
