The meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Republic of Iran and India began in New Delhi to hold the two countries' 20th joint economic commission meeting.

Iran is actively strengthening its relations with neighboring and regional countries, with a special focus on India. Vast opportunities in both countries, particularly in transport, trade, and emerging technologies, have made it essential for both to leverage these resources to deepen cooperation.

 

The big picture:

As part of his one-day visit, Abbas Araghchi is scheduled to sign two cooperation agreements in customs affairs and the food and pharmaceutical sectors. Additionally, he will meet with the Indian President and the Secretary of the National Security Council later in the day.
