US- allied forces cooperating with terrorists in Syria

The Iraqi Joint Operations Command has blamed the lack of official surveillance on the Syrian border in areas occupied by US forces for terrorists infiltrating Iraqi territory.

Iran Press/Middle East: Tahsin al-Khafaji, a spokesman for the Iraqi Joint Operations Command, said US-backed Syrian Kurdish militias do not prevent terrorists from infiltrating Iraq from Syria.

Al-Khafaji added that the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) are official forces and control the Iraqi-Syrian border, and that interaction with these forces is difficult.

He added that in some cases, terrorists have used them to infiltrate Iraq, and in other cases, these forces have been negligent in this matter or are weak in controlling the border, which causes terrorists to infiltrate Iraq.

In recent years, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), with US support, have occupied large parts of northeastern Syria and are seeking autonomy in the region.
