Iran Press/ Iran news: He emphasized that while a decisive response to these criminal acts is necessary, history has shown that liberation movements cannot be extinguished through the assassination of their leaders. “Dozens more will rise to carry the flag of justice and resistance against oppression,” Pezeshkian declared.
During the session, Pezeshkian extended his condolences for the martyrdom of Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and condemned the heinous assassination carried out by the Zionist regime. “This crime once again proves that the Zionist regime has no respect for international laws or norms,” Pezeshkian said. He further accused the U.S. and European leaders of deceit, pointing out that their promises of a ceasefire in exchange for Iran’s silence following the assassination of Martyr Haniyeh were lies. “Giving such criminals more time will only embolden them to commit more atrocities,” he warned.
In his remarks, President Pezeshkian also referenced a recent interview he gave on an American news channel, where he stated that Hezbollah should not be left alone in its fight against the Zionist regime. He reiterated this position today, stressing that Lebanon’s fighters must not stand alone, otherwise, the Zionists will continue to target resistance countries one by one, killing innocent civilians, women, and children.
Pezeshkian urged Arab and Islamic nations to take a stand against the Zionist regime’s brutality. “The world now knows who the true perpetrators of war, insecurity, and violence are,” he asserted.
The President also took aim at Western media for their double standards, accusing them of downplaying the Zionist regime’s clear acts of terrorism. “These are the same media outlets that exaggerate the smallest incidents in Iran to put our country under suspicion. Why are they blind to the massive crimes committed by the Zionists?” he asked.
Pezeshkian reaffirmed that such actions are unacceptable and will not go unanswered. “Although a decisive response is essential, liberation movements and calls for justice will not end with the assassination of individuals. History shows that more will rise to continue this fight,” he added.
He also highlighted Iran’s readiness to offer medical and humanitarian assistance to Lebanese victims of recent Israeli airstrikes, underlining the full preparedness of the Ministry of Health and other aid organizations.
