Iran's '18%' subtitled, translated into Japanese

Asia(IP): The documentary "18%" was translated into Japanese and broadcast in Japanese by the Cultural Attache Office of the Iranian Embassy in Tokyo on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Saddam's Ba'athist regime's war with Iran.

Iran PressAsia: The documentary "18%" directed by "Mustafa Shaban" narrates the trip and sending of five veterans and chemically injured people to Japan for treatment in 1988.

In this film, the treatment of chemical war veteran "Ali Jalali" with only 18% of healthy lungs is narrated. The Japanese medical team led by Dr. Nakatani is disappointed with the treatment of this veteran, but with the efforts of the Iranian medical staff and the continuation of the Japanese treatment process, this chemical veteran is recovering.

Being aimed at better understanding the cultural spheres of the two countries, the Cultural Attache Office of the Iranian Embassy in Japan, implements various programs, including the preparation, translation and subtitling of Iranian cinema products in Japanese.

So far, 10 Iranian films Bodyguard, Vilaieha, Sweet Taste of Imagination, Painting Pool, Crazy Rook(Castle), So Close, So Far, Last Supper, motherhood, 18% and Azar have been translated into Japanese and welcomed by Japanese and Persian-speaking audiences.
