Shiraz (IP) - The historic city of Shiraz hosting the holy shrine of Ahmad ibn Musa (as) which is known as Shahcheragh has dressed in black.

Iran PressIran News: As a matter of fact, the Shahcheragh complex is a mausoleum that houses the shrines of Ahmad bin Musa and Muhammad bin Musa.

This year, special Muharram mourning rituals will be held in the holy shrine of Shahcheragh, different from last year, and in accordance with health protocols, in order to prevent the COVID-19 disease.

Furthermore, these days in the city of Shiraz, the capital of Fars province, in the south of Iran, every house has become a Hosseiniyah (mourning places).

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak this year, people in different cities of Iran, including Shiraz, have joined the 'Every house, a Hosseiniyah' campaign and have installed a black flag on their houses.

Meanwhile, mourning rituals are held in Shiraz Hosseiniyahs for two hours and in compliance with complete health protocols, ie wearing a mask and observing social distancing.
