The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Health, said on Monday about the latest data on the coronavirus in the country and the deaths caused by the virus, "According to the definitive laboratory findings and from yesterday to August 3nd in the country, 2,598 new patients with COVID-19 were diagnosed. Also, the number of patients with this disease reached 312,035.
1,304 of the new patients were hospitalized."
The Spokeswoman said, "Unfortunately, in the past 24 hours, 215 COVID-19 patients have lost their lives, and 17,405 people have lost their lives in the country to date."The official stated, "4104 patients are in intensive care units."
Around 2,534,658 COVID-19 diagnosis tests have been conducted in the country," the Health Ministry spokeswoman said.
According to the spokeswoman, Tehran, Mazandaran, Golestan, Fars, East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, Isfahan, Alborz, Ilam, Khorasan Razavi, Kerman, North Khorasan, Semnan, Lorestan, and Hormozgan provinces are in the Red zone.
Also, she added West Azerbaijan, Khuzestan, Bushehr, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari, Zanjan, Hamedan, Kohgiluyeh, and Boyer Ahmad, Markazi, Yazd, Gilan and Qom provinces is on alert.
