Chabahar port is very important for India

The Indian Minister of Shipping stressed the importance and role of Iran's Chabahar port in reducing the cost and time of transporting Indian goods.

Iran PressAsia: Mansukh Mandaviya said that the port of Chabahar was very important to New Delhi, adding that the port of Chabahar would save 20 percent of India's logistics.

Mandaviya also mentioned the beginning of the transfer of cargo by ship from Chabahar port last week and said: "this port has a strategic role."

The port of Chabahar in southeastern Iran is of great importance to India due to its strategic location and closest access to landlocked Central Asian countries such as Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.
