The republic of Azerbaijan’s energy minister, Parviz Shahbazov, has called for more cooperation between Tehran and Baku in the field of energy.

 In an exclusive interview with Iran Press, on the sideline of International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition in Tehran, Shahbazov said Tehran and Baku have had extensive  negotiations in the field of energy .

Pointing out that  Azerbaijan's state oil company and Iranian oil firms  have embarked on various joint projects, and partnerships, Shahbazov said: "We signed a few memoranda of understanding on cooperation in the energy field".

The inaugural ceremony of 23rd Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition was held in Tehran , attended by Iran's Oil Minister, Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, and senior managers, and officials of Iran's oil, gas, and petrochemical industry.

Representatives of 38 countries, including United States, Republic of Azerbaijan, Austria, Spain, Germany, United Arab Emirates (UAE), UK, Italy, Belgium, Turkey, Czech Republic, China, Russia, Japan, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Croatia, South Korea, Poland, the Netherlands, India, Finland, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Kazakhstan, Monaco, Canada, Lichtenstein, Oman, Denmark, Taiwan, Norway, Australia, Brazil, Malaysia, Singapore and Islamic Republic of Iran are exhibiting their latest products, services, and achievements to the general public.
