Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Abbas Mousavi has described the recent request of the French president, Emmanuel Macron, as interfering in Iran's internal affairs and intolerable.

Iran Press/Iran news: Responding to recent claims of French President, Abbas Mousavi wrote in his Twitter account: "The French should not forget that Iran is an independent and a sovereign state; neither our government nor our judiciary will ever accept any endorsement or advice from anyone."

He added: "Interference in Iran's internal affairs is intolerable for us as well," Iran Press reported.

French President Emmanuel Macron has recently asked for the immediate release of Fariba Adelkhah and Roland Marchal, the two French nationals in Iran.

"Their imprisonment is intolerable. They must be freed without delay. I told President Rouhani, I repeat it here," he wrote in his Tweeter account.

The event can complicate French efforts to defuse tensions between Washington and Tehran. 212/211/101
