In a new airstrike on Gaza by Israel six Palestinians have been martyred and others injured.

Iran Press/Middle East: Six Palestinian citizens were martyred, over 12 others were injured and many others went missing after an Israeli airstrike after midnight on Thursday leveled an apartment building to the ground in Deir al-Balah city in central Gaza, as reported by the Palestinian Information Center

According to local sources, an Israeli warplane bombed a three-story building belonging to the Abu Malhous family in al-Birka area in Deir al-Balah city, reducing it to rubble.

The Hebrew website 0404 talked about the assassination of senior Islamic Jihad official Rasmi Abu Malhous in an aerial attack on his house in Deir al-Balah.

The martyrs were all from the family of Abu Malhous family and identified as Rasmi, Yousra, Mariam, Muaadh, Waseem, and Muhanad.

The situation escalated in Gaza early Tuesday after an Israeli airstrike martyred Bahaa Abu al-Atta, the commander of resistance group Islamic Jihad, as well as his wife Asmaa Abu al-Atta.

Israeli warplanes also launched an airstrike targeting Islamic Jihad member Akram al-Ajouri in Syria’s capital Damascus.

Two people, including al-Ajouri's son, were martyred and 10 injured, but the Islamic Jihad leader emerged unhurt.

In response to earlier Zionist airstrikes on the blockaded Gaza Strip and the martyrdom of a senior commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad 'Abu al-Ata',  Palestinian resistance groups have fired more than 80 missiles at the occupied territories injuring dozens of Israeli settlers.

Zionist media have reported dozens of Zionist settlers wounded and one dead, saying that alarm bells have been heard in various areas of occupied Palestine, including Tel Aviv, Ashkelon, and Sderot.
