US citizens gathered in front of the White House to protest against the country's policies toward Venezuela.

Iran Press/America: A number of US citizens and human rights activists held a gathering in front of the White House to protest against interfering Donald Trump's polices toward Venezuela, and support the Venezuelan nation.

The protesters carried placards read "No to Venezuela war", and chanted slogans "They say more war; we say no war" and "US! Hands off Venezuela!".

The US-Caracas tensions escalated since January 23, 2019, when the leader of Venezuelan rebels, Juan Guaido backed by US, proclaimed himself as the interim president of Venezuela, Iran Press reported.

On Saturday, hundreds of Venezuelans walked out onto the streets of Caracas to protest against the new rounds of US sanctions on their country. The Venezuelans held placards saying: "No to Trump".

Last Tuesday, US President Donald Trump signed an executive order by the virtue of which all of Venezuelan government's assets in the US soil was blocked.
