The Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR) organized a conference on Israeli human rights violations.

The conference was held to  draw the attention of the world to  Israeli human rights violations and targeting of peaceful Palestinian protesters during Land Day protests.

Land Day, a Palestinian holiday  dates back to 1976. During the day Palestinians led a nation-wide strike to oppose Israel's confiscation of thousands of acres of Palestinian land in the Galilee region. Since Israel's founding in 1948, confiscation of Palestinian land had been normalized.

17 Palestinians were killed by the Israeli army, including nine who were shot dead, along the eastern Gaza border on Friday,30 February 2018.

The annual report of PCHR for 2017 is due to be released during the conference.
